When: January 10, 2026 - January 31, 2026
Time: 10:45am - 11:30am
Where: MPS Gym
Cost: $45

This program is designed to teach children ages 3-5 basic skills necessary for competitive play. Participants will learn the basics in throwing, catching, hitting, and running bases. They will also learn to follow instructions.

This program will use different equipment for safety and progress as participants allow. We will not use real baseballs or softballs, and gloves will not be necessary.

The program is also progressive. Participants will begin the season by doing activities with a parent or guardian, then progress to doing activities with other participants. This is a great introduction to baseball and softball without the fear of injury or competitive play.

Participants will receive t-shirts.

Where: Madison Primary School Gymnasium

The Start Smart Move and Play program is the most recently developed program by the National Alliance for Youth Sports. This program teaches children (ages 2-3) the basic fine and gross motor skills necessary to create a solid foundation for future skills and activities that are part of everyday life. The program focuses on teaching children and their parents fine and gross motor skills in a fun and stress-free environment. The Start Smart Move and Play program sessions are held once a week, and each week the exercises become increasingly more difficult as the program progresses.
