Ages: Grades K-5
Cost: $150/person, $15 sibling discount
Space is limited! Registration will close March 29 or when camp is full. Camp is similar to our Hoover Ridge Summer Camp. There will be no field trips.

- Child and Babysitter Safety Course
- Child Babysitting and Safety class (CABS) is brought to you by Paramedic Serena Imel with Culpeper CPR.
Serena brings 25 years of experience as an EMS provider (volunteer and career) and a mom of 4 kids. Her classes are well known as being the most interesting and engaging classes around. She goes more in-depth than most instructors and gives real-life experiences to help information stick.
This is a comprehensive class where the student receives a certification card from the American Health and Safety Institute (ASHI). This class includes classroom instruction as well as hands-on practical instruction using dolls. No child has ever been bored in class and everyone leaves with knowledge and the materials needed to start a successful babysitting business. Students will learn the following:- Feeding and diapering basics. (Proper anatomical body part names will be used during instruction)
- Soothing and amusing babies and children.
- Child safety and how to keep themselves safe.
- Prioritizing emergencies and calling for help when needed (parents and/or 911).
- How to start and build a babysitting business including how to make a resume. Paperwork to accomplish this is provided for each student to take home.
- Feeding and diapering basics. (Proper anatomical body part names will be used during instruction)
- This class touches on CPR and First Aid but all students are recommended to take a full CPR and First Aid class before or after this class. Please see registration site for dates and times.

- **Must be physically capable of doing chest compressions and not overly sensitive (passing out) to realistic-looking blood and simulated injuries in the videos. Must be comfortable discussing death.**
