coach education

Here are a few great resources for coaches.

All coaches, instructors, counselors, and staff must receive training on Concussion Protocols and Recognizing Child Abuse and Neglect. We are also requiring the COVID-19 Training course. Please visit the following websites for free training. Certificates can be downloaded or printed and sent to info.mcparksrec@gmail.com. The courses are now mandatory for ALL coaches, assistant coaches, instructors, and counselors.
Centers for Disease Control - Heads Up Concussion Training
Department of Social Services - Recognizing Child Abuse and Neglect and Mandatory Reporting
  • Click on Child Protective Services - Required Training/Courses and select CWSE 5961 Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse & Neglect (for Educators)
National Federation of High School Sports - COVID-19 Training
  • Select "Courses" from the top menu. The required course is the COVID-19 for Coaches and Administrators. You will have to create an account and "purchase" the course. It is free of charge. It is only about 10 minutes to complete.
