Help keep our park safe and clean for all!

Rules and Guidelines

Please be considerate of our parks - Hoover Ridge Park and Madison Recreation Center. Cleaning up after your dog and picking up litter are simple examples of how you can keep our parks suitable for all visitors. Please enjoy them and visit them often.

Park Hours

Hoover Ridge Park and Madison Recreation Center are open from dawn to dusk, year-round. Occasionally, there are scheduled Special Events and scheduled team practices and games that will occur after dusk. These activities are allowed and have been granted after-hours access.

Private groups and individuals are not permitted to be in the park before dawn and after dusk.
NOTICE: Beginning Monday, June 1, Primary School Drive past the entrance to Hoover Ridge Park will be CLOSED to the public. This means that there will be no access to the pond at Hoover Ridge or Field H5 from behind Madison Primary School. All playgrounds at MPS and all parking lots will be closed.
Users of Field H5 can access using the parking lot at the Madison Parks and Rec office. THERE IS NO GRASS PARKING PERMITTED. Please walk and carry necessary equipment to the field.
For pond access, please enter the park and drive past the Carpenter Pavilion. At the bottom of the hill, follow the signs for the Driving Range (to the right). You may park and walk across the field to the rear fence around the pond. Vehicles are not permitted to drive through the grass to the pond.
We should be getting signs in the next couple of weeks.
This will be in effect through August 2021, or whenever construction is completed at MPS.

Dog Leash Policy

All dogs must be on a leash at Hoover Ridge Park with the exception of an off leash area designated on the map. We also ask that you clean up after your pet and have dog waste bags and trash cans on site for your convenience.

Pavilions, Camping, and Special Use Tent

There are three pavilions available for rental at Hoover Ridge Park and Madison Recreation Center. Unless reserved, all pavilions are open to the public. Reservations must be made before camping.

Pets are not permitted on any playing surfaces (soccer fields, practice fields, football field or baseball/softball fields)

How to Rent a Pavilion or Campsite

  • Pick up all trash after use
  • No fires, grills or camping permitted
  • The pond is not suitable for swimming
