All you have to do is ask.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

We believe that no child should be excluded from play based on an inability to pay program fees. We offer two ways to provide assistance, and even have some donated equipment available free of charge.

Social Services

Any participant whose family is part of a Social Services program that provides benefits qualifies for scholarships in our youth programs. Please complete the Scholarship Eligibility Form and turn it in to the Department of Social Services in Madison. We will receive verification directly from their office.

Financial Aid

We receive many generous donations through the year. Last year, we created the Hoover Ridge Scholarship Fund to allow families facing any type of hardship the ability to have some or all of their child's program fees covered. In most cases, a parent or guardian can pay some of the fees, but not all, or some have multiple children playing sports and cannot afford to pay fees for all of them. This program allows for parents/guardians to choose a contribution level (if any), even if they do not receive benefits through Social Services. This scholarship is completely funded by community donors and will remain as long as funds are available. The Hoover Ridge Scholarship Form can be found below. Completed forms should be e-mailed to Lindsay Von Herbulis at lindsay.mcparksrec@gmail.com.

Equipment

Need cleats? Need helmets? We often have families donate equipment or cleats. If there is anything in particular you need, please reach out to one of the sports commissioners or a member of the MCPRA office staff. Chances are, we have something that was donated that you could use! Our most common items include soccer cleats and baseball equipment.

If you have gently used equipment you'd like to donate, please contact us to see if we need it and to arrange drop-off.
