Hoover Ridge Wool & Wine Festival - A Madison Hockey Rink Benefit

Madison County Parks and Recreation Authority is hosting the seventh annual Wool and Wine Festival and Sheepdog Trials in Madison County on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM. The sheepdog trials will be both Saturday and Sunday, April 19-21, beginning at 7:30am Saturday morning. They will run until about 5:00pm Saturday evening and resume Sunday morning.
This year, we will host this event as a benefit for our Madison Hockey League program. On March 20, our hockey rink was destroyed by a wildfire. In addition to the loss of the rink, Madison Hockey League also lost an equipment shed with over forty-thousand dollars in hockey equipment, goalie gear, helmets, rink maintenance equipment, tools, roller blades, pucks, and more.
We will be showcasing local wineries Blue Quartz Winery, Revalation Vineyards, and Prince Michel Winery! Vendors include Fehu Studio (jewelry), Rebel Ridge Stoneworks, Busy B Crafts, Wolftown Wax and Wicks, Mad Cats, Rosi Red Red, Charlottesville Face Painting, and the Perfect Blend Boutique. Two Brothers Southwest Grill will be the food truck on site.
We will have a supervised children's area with Big Blue Blocks, mud kitchens, sand box, other activities, and a bounce house! We are also offering face painting for children!
